The Centre of Excellence for Public Health, one of five UK centres created as part of a new £20 million investment, was launched in 2008. The Centre is led by Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) and its partners are: the Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH), Community Development and Health Network (CDHN), Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) and W5. The Centre will lead to significant improvements in the wellbeing and health of the population. It provides strong links between public health research and policy.
